About the Position
A Dispatch Engineer promptly addresses client requests related to computer equipment repair, maintenance, and installation. The goal is to meet service level agreements (SLAs), ensure client satisfaction, and adhere to manufacturers’ guidelines during all work performed.
What We'd Like:
We'd like to grow our pool as big as possible. A Dispatch Engineer will be expected to pick up jobs within SLAs (such as within 4 hours). This position is open to those with at least 2 years of Level 1 IT experience because the Dispatch Engineer will be mostly required to work independently. A Dispatch Engineer who owns their own vehicle will be plus point as they may be required to move from one point to another but this is not a requirement.
Basic command of the English language is also required, including speaking and writing as this position requires Engineers to speak with clients and prepare Site Visit Reports (SVRs) wherever necessary.
Schedule:
Typically, work is during office hours: Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 6:00pm so activation can be at least 4 hours prior or the night before. Occasionally, Dispatch Engineers can be called up for a job on Saturday. Engineers can decide to take up a job or not, according to their availability.
Location:
Reporting location can vary across Singapore. Engineers can pick up any jobs they want as long as they are able to reach the site within the SLA stipulated or at the specified time. Do note that this job is only an onsite position.
Rates:
As this position is for Dispatch, the rates can vary depending on various aspects like location, type of job, rates provided by clients etc. Ball park figure is between $60 to $100 either per job or per hour. Again, Engineers can make their own decision to take up a job or not.
Note: Deployment of jobs may be on a first-come-first-serve basis and that the Engineer assigned will be according to Planet Tech's judgement of who is deemed fit based on their IT experience. Planet Tech also reserves the right to remove Engineers from the pool if needed (For example, when an SLA is breeched continually/ when Engineer is unpleasant to clients/ when Engineer does not provide a satisfactory service to the best of his or her abilities).
