Remote or On-site IT Support
What does your business need or expect out of an outsourced IT team? Is on-site support better than remote support?
The short answer is - No. While some might prefer to physically see a person working on their IT issues, we are here to tell you that not all issues would require on-site visits!

Planet Tech knows that some issues would require an actual visit but some issues can be resolved in a quick remote session. Depending on the nature of your business as well as the issue at hand, we would typically recommend Remote Support instead of On-site Support (unless necessary).

While it helps that we don't have to travel for a minute problem, it will save your business from spending too much!

Here are some key difference to help you decide.

Remote IT Support
-
Cost-Effective: More affordable as it does not include travel time and expenses
-
Flexibility: Technicians can address issues from anywhere
-
Scalability: Ideal for businesses with multiple locations or needing frequent software updates and system checks

Onsite IT Support
-
Physical Assistance: Complex hardware issues and high-security data (government access) concerns may require physical attention
-
Personalised Service: Face-to-face interactions between technicians and end-users/ employees
-
Quick diagnosis: Quick response time for critical system failures such as server shutting down
-
Hardware maintenance: Typically for network configurations like healthcheck or hardware maintenance

Planet Tech takes high consideration for businesses who are contracted and are signed under our Managed Service Plan where support is approachable, timely and reliable. Adhoc services may be offered on a scheduled basis, depending on the availability of our technicians.

From time to time, Planet Tech offers backfill support for businesses who need additional manpower. We have provided this service to businesses where their employees go on leave and need the extra hand in completing their day to day operations.
